Personalized Birthstone necklaces
In fine jewelry we have what we call "birthstones". Every month of the year is represented by a chosen gemstone or diamond. Using the recipient's birthstone can be a very nice element to incorporate within the pendant. It shows you put a little bit more thought and care into the design, which is often very appreciated! Each gemstone has its own meaning and symbolism. If you're not sure which birthstone corresponds with which month, we've created a small list for you!

Custom Engravings On Necklaces
Adding custom engravings on a necklace or charm can be a nice way to time stamp a special event or add meaningful initials to remember someone important. Initials can be used as a center point of a design. For example, on a locket. Large cursive initials can be placed at the center of the design. You can also have the initials discreetly engraved on the back of a charm, only known by the wearer. The only thing to remember is that there should be enough room on the necklace. You can ask us during the design process if you'd prefer to have additional room for the script.
Custom engravings can be made in any style of font. Most standard engravings will be done in Arial font, however if you are looking for a specific style, all you need to do is send us the name of the font and we will be happy to use it for the engraving!
Important Symbols
Custom jewelry is full of symbolism. Unlike generic jewelry you buy in stores, personalized necklaces often have at least 1 meaningful symbol. They can be as common as a heart or infinity sign but they can also be tokens that represent important people, places or things in the form of small symbols or objects. These motifs are a discrete way of incorporating meaningful stories behind a symbol no one else would know about! A beautiful way to remember something or someone important to you.
However do keep in mind that over charging your piece with too many symbols at a time can sometimes look overcharged. If you need help refining the design and the placement of these tokens we are always here to help!
Personalized Name Necklaces
Name necklaces have become very popular over the last 5 years. They are a fun and flirty way of inscribing your name or the name of a loved one onto a pendant. Name necklaces can be made with any font of your choosing, from cursive to the standard Arial script.

Custom Chain Options
When creating a custom necklace, you also have to option of customizing your chain. We have a wide selection of different link styles and thicknesses. On request we always send a few options which we think will look best for you to choose from.
Of course for men's chains or more elaborate chains, we do specialize in personalized jewelry and can create unique styles upon request. Send us an email and we can provide a quote to create these styles of chains.
Custom Mourning Necklaces
Mourning jewelry is a beautiful way of commemorating a loved one. It is a necklace that was commissioned in order to preserve the memories of a person or pet that has passed. These tokens can be as discrete as you would like. We have clients who have chosen designs of jewelry you would not have guessed was a memorial piece unless you'd asked!
We can also insert the ashes within the design by inserting them within a small compartment inside the jewel and sealing it shut!
How To Make A Custom Necklace?
Making a custom necklace or pendant is really easy! All you need to do is send us an email at info@fineandflux.com with your general idea, if you have any example pictures and budget. Then we will make your design in 3D, send it to you to approve the design. Once approved we make it and ship it out to you! It's a fun and fast process that only takes between 2-3 weeks.
